Mr. David Dean Miller died peacefully in Community South Hospital on August 9, 2015 in Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of 68.

Dave is survived by his wife, Donna Jean (Ortman) Miller; four children, Teresa and Darin Musselman of Logansport, Mark Miller of Greenwood, Paige Miller of Greenwood, and Robyn and John Wargel of Fishers; seven grandchildren, Olivia Musselman of Noblesville, Lexi Musselman of Muncie, Ryley, Gracie and Spencer Musselman of Logansport, Graham and Mia Wargel of Fishers. He is preceded in death by father, Robert Miller; mother, Violet Miller; and sister, Constance Boocher.

David was born December 15, 1946 in Logansport, Indiana to Robert Dean and Violet Ruth (Murray) Miller. He graduated from Indiana University in 2001 with a Bachelor''s degree in General Studies. He married Donna Jean Ortman, his high school sweetheart/a retired medical nurse in 1967. Dave traveled and served in the USAF 6931 Security Group from 1967 to 1975, before settling back in the Logansport area. Following his military duty, he worked for Penn Central Railroad, TM Morris Manufacturing, ReMax Realty and then returned to work at Conrail/CSX Railroad until retirement.

Dave was a competitive soul who enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing cards with family and friends. He was a member of the Jubilee Lodge #746 F&AM in Whiteland, Veterans of Foreign War Post #3790 in Logansport and Msgr. Bernard P. Sheridan Council # 6138 Knights of Columbus in Greenwood. He was an active and dedicated member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church and volunteered regularly to work at the church food pantry.

A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on August 15, 2015 at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church - 335 South Meridian Street, Greenwood, with reception to follow at the lower level of Madonna Hall. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Msgr. Mark A. Svarczkopf will celebrate the mass. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dave''s life.
