David F. Pursell, 78, of Nineveh, passed away April 29, 2016. The son of Leonard and Esther Lukens Pursell, David was born November 5, 1937 in Indianapolis.

A graduate of Thomas Carr Howe High School, he earned an Associate''s Degree from Indiana University. In 1996, after 37 years, he retired as an Administrator with Indiana Workforce Development. David was a member of the John Purdue Club. He enjoyed woodworking, was an avid watcher of football, basketball and golf and playing with his dog, Bella. David and Freida enjoyed traveling.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. May 4, 2016 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood.

David is survived by his wife, Freida J. Amos Pursell of Nineveh; sons, Leonard Thomas (Jill) Pursell of Fishers, Noel Douglas (Tammy) Law, Jr. of Tulsa, OK and Darren Edward Law of Columbus; daughters, Paulette (Russell) Allanson of Indianapolis and Jill Deanna Law of Bright; brothers, Alfred (Carolyn) Pursell of Tifton, GA, Edward (Trudy) Pursell of Noblesville and Leonard (Roberta) Pursell of Lafayette; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
