David Marshall Rohrbach, age 59, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the presence of family, on Sunday, May 20th at his residence. Born November 23rd, 1952 in Tiffin, Ohio, he was the son of Richard and Joan Rohrbach.
David grew up in Idaho and is a University of Idaho graduate. A proud phone man, David spent over thirty years employed in the telecommunications industry. At the time of his passing, he was a member of IBEW local 481, employed by Ermco.
David had a lifelong love of books and music and enjoyed many sports. A lover of the outdoors, David especially liked floating on his raft. A loyal friend and brother, proud Army father and loving husband, David's keen sense of duty made him always willing to lend a helping hand. Practical and frugal, David would amaze friends and family alike with the tremendous mileage he got from his wardrobe.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Rohrbach; son, Spc. Charles Rohrbach (wife Allison); mother, Joan Platt Rohrbach; step-mother; six sisters; six brothers; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis - Marion County Public Library.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 5, at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
