Shelly Hawkins, Whiteland, IN, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024. She was 57 years old. Shelly was born in Indianapolis Indiana to her parents Talmage and Darlena Hawkins. She graduated from Southport High School, class of 1985. Shelly was engaged to the love of her life, Randy Whitis.
Shelly worked as a dispatcher for Comcast and retired early after over 20 years of service. She was a member of Immanuel Christian Church with her fiance for five years. Shelly enjoyed going shopping and taking care of her garden. She loved to travel and visit tropical beaches. Shelly was very family oriented and her home was always a place of comfort and refuge. Hossy, Shelly's beloved English bulldog, was a dear companion to her. Shelly's social personality and sassy humor will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Shelly is survived by her mother, Darlena Hawkins; her cherished fiance, Randy Whitis; her step children, Derek Bradley, Cheyane Bradley, Noah Whitis, Michaela Whitis, Maure Whitis, and Lyndi Whitis; her grandchildren, Kalea, Quentin, Eva, and Rowan; her sister, Angela (Mark) Adams; her nieces and nephews, Benjamin (Stevie) Adams, Hannah (Jake) Sinkovitz, Rachel Adams, Elijah Adams, Tobin Oberhoulser, Tasha Albaugh, Ashley Lawson, Laura Lawson, Joseph Lawson, and Olivia Lawson; great nieces and nephews, Annabelle and Archie Adams, Leo, Odelia, and Cyrus Sinkovitz; an incredible amount of friends and family, with a special place in her heart for her Tennessee family.
Shelly is preceded in death by her father, Talmage Hawkins.
A visitation for Shelly will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 12:00 pm.
