Obituary

Daythel Elizabeth "Betty" Immel, age 79 of Indianapolis, died on Saturday, July 4th at her residence. Born February 15, 1930 in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Arthur and Edith (Phelps) Brown. In 1961, Betty met and later married Marlin Woodrow Immel. Betty worked at RCA and volunteered at School 81 in Indianapolis. She also loved to crochet. Betty is survived by three sons, Jack (Linda) Pearman, John Garrigus, and Donald Pearman; five daughters, Rose Minnick, Elizabeth Holt, Sandy (Allen) Castleman, Marla (Stephen) Vaughn, and Linda Immel. Also surviving is a brother Keith Brown and sister Evelyn Smith; 23 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three sisters, Irene, Mary and Elizabeth. Services will be at Noon on Wednesday, July 8th at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1977 S. State Road 135 in Greenwood, IN 46143. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorials can be made to the Susan G.
