Deborah Lou "Debbie" Garrison, born on September 25,1956 in Fort Polk, Louisiana, peacefully completed her earthly journey on April 15, 2025 surrounded by her family.  Debbie attended Goodland Grade School, South Newton High School, and then graduated from Rensselaer Central High School in 1974. She lived most of her adult life in Indianapolis, IN with husband Thomas Garrison after they married June 20, 1981.

Debbie is survived and missed by her husband, Thomas Garrison; mother, Mary Lou (Reed) Potts; daughters, Amber (Ryan Baize) Garrison and Alicia (Ryan Jochim) Garrison; grandsons, Cody and Connor Baize; siblings, Denise (Brent) Eldridge, Gary (Cindy) Potts, Greg (Colleen) Potts; and stepchildren, Thomas (Heather) Garrison, Melissa (Bob) Pachowiak. She also leaves more family and friends that will forever miss her presence. Debbie is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Potts.

As a social butterfly, Debbie excelled at being a waitress at the Holiday Inn at the Indianapolis airport for many years. She then started at-home babysitting for local families, where she made lifelong friendships and touched many children's lives. She then worked for Decatur Township Transportation as a school bus driver for 18 years. Debbie was also the treasurer at Carson Park in Indianapolis, IN.

Most of all, Debbie loved and thrived at being a mom. Whether it was attending her daughters' sporting events, floating in the pool with them during summer breaks, or shopping together, Debbie put her heart and soul into her favorite title: Mom. That was until she became a grandma, and she found a way to spread her love even further.

A visitation will be held for Debbie on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 p.m at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S SR-135 Greenwood, IN 46143.

An honorary mass will be held on Saturday May 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 6350 S. Mooresville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46221. Graveside service to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home at 12:30 pm.
