Dee Roy Harris, age 77, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 3, 2014. Dee was born October 10, 1936 in Indianapolis to Milburn and Carrie Ann (Capps) Harris. He married the former Nora Williams on January 23, 1982 and was her beloved husband for over 32 years. Dee was a machinist for many years at Best Lot and American Bearing. He was a devout Christian who loved to spend his time at Eastside Tree of Life Church.

Dee is survived by his wife, Nora; sons, John Elkins, Gary Wayne Harris and Randell D. Harris; daughters, Debbie (James) Schnell, Teresa Herman, Kim Meyers, Ruth (Bill) McKinney, Madeline (James) Strawmeyer, and Sharon (Roger) Gammon; brothers, Ray Harris and Jim (Jane) Harris; 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Delores Harris.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Eastside Tree of Life Church, 607 E. Iowa St., Indianapolis, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
