Delbert C. Stinson, 81, of Camby, died Monday October 19, 2009. He was born in Allen County, Kentucky to the late Ben W. and Ider Shaw Stinson on September 11, 1928. Delbert retired in 1985 from McClean Truck in maintance supervison. Delbert served our country in the US Army with the 45th Inf. Division in Korea during the bloodiest fighting in places such as, Pork Chop Hill, Old Baldy and Christmas Hill, for which, he was awarded Bronze Star. He attended Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Kentucky, and OES #267. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. Delbert married Mavis K. Keen on April 17, 1948 and she survives. Surviving with his wife is one son and daughter inlaw, Jeff and Donna Stinson. Daughter inlaw: Cathy Stinson. Four grandchildren: Justin Stinson, Kirk and his wife Gabby Stinson, Devin and Morgan Stinson. He is preceded by two brothers: Garrison and Clouis Stinson, and a son Terry W. Stinson. Delbert was a devoted father, husband and grandfather. Family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Wednesday. Funeral service will at 1:00 PM Thursday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
