Obituary

Delmer Cox, 86, of Greenwood, passed away March 28, 2014 at Community Hospital South. Born March 28, 1928 in Lesley County, Kentucky he was the son of the late Fletcher and Mamme (Glover) Cox. He married Linda Barrett on November 24, 1983 in Indianapolis.

Delmer was Vice-President and a machinist with Custom Models in Indianapolis for over 40 years, retiring in 2003. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. His memberships include the American Legion Post # 0707, Indianapolis and the South Side Poker League.

He is survived by his wife Linda; two sons Mack Barrett and Mike Cox; three daughters Marika Cox, Chelia Rusler and Lucinda Larson; a sister Lucille Coffman; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl Cox; three sisters, Louise Parkerson, Dorothy Williams, and Pauline Dailey.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, April 4, 2014 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4 - 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
