In Loving Memory of Delores "Dee" Peck Cooper

May 26, 1944 ~ August 3, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Delores "Dee" Peck Cooper. Dee was born on May 26, 1944 to Joseph and Cora Lee Peck of Indianapolis. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and friends.

Dee was the devoted wife of the late Albert Cooper and the loving mother to the late Chad Cooper. She was a wonderful sister to Bonnie (Jim) Hammond and the late Jackie (Emerson) Mattick. She was a caring stepmother, doting grandmother and great grandmother, and a beloved aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Her life was a testament to her strong Christian faith. Dee was a loyal friend, and her presence was a comforting gift that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Dee's career spanned over 35 years at Indianapolis Power and Light, where her work ethic, attention to detail and camaraderie were an inspiration to her colleagues.

Dee loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved flowers, music, British films and had an uncanny ability to diffuse difficult situations with humor. Se enjoyed travelling with family and friends, whom all have wonderful memories and stories to share.

As we bid farewell to Dee, we are reminded of the impact one life can have on so many. Rest in peace, dear Dee. You were truly a blessing to us all.
