Dennis Gordon Biggs, Beech Grove, IN, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025. He was 86 years old. Dennis was born in Indianapolis, IN to his parents Ernest and Floella Biggs. Dennis married his wife, Lucile, on February 19, 1959, and together they shared 66 years of marriage. Dennis answered the call of this nation by enlisting into the United States Army and after his period of faithful service was honorably discharged.
Dennis worked his way up through the Railroad and retired as an accountant after over thirty-five years of service. Dennis was a 3rd Degree Mason and a Shriners Mason with the Southport Masonic lodge for many years. He enjoyed attending the lodge to socialize and play cards; Dennis' favorite game was Euchre. Dennis also enjoyed participating in minicycle parades. Dennis was a talkative and loving individual that knew how to incorporate humor into his daily routine. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather for many years to come.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Lucille; his children, Dennis Biggs Jr, Tony (Rhonda) Biggs, and Linda (Richard) Byland; his grandchildren, Zach (Jackie) Byland, Kyle (Cora) Biggs, Megan (Jason) Ellyson, Jonathan (Kari) Biggs and Jeffrey (Lauren) Biggs; his 11 great grandchildren; his granddog, Lou Lou.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; his several siblings; his dog, Princess.
A visitation for Dennis will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 10:30 am. Entombment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 11:30am.
