Dennis R. Walden, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away June 22, 2017. The son of Early and Mary Baird Walden, Dennis was born July 21, 1945 in LaFollette, Tennessee.

He served as an Elder with Crosswalk Community
Church, Beech Grove; enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In 2010, after 20 plus years, he retired from National Starch and Chemical, where he was a fork truck driver.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Mary H. Knight Walden of Indianapolis, whom he married on January 30, 1982; sons, Mike Walden of Greenfield, Jake Walden of Tipton, Mike Ollanketo of Indianapolis and John Ollanketo of Greenwood; daughters, Debbie Murray and Teresa Walden, both of Tipton and Lisa Myers of Middletown; sisters, Karen Sue Branam of Tennessee and Judith Walden of Georgia; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew Walden; sisters, Alberta Byrge, Marie Smith, Lorraine Roberts, Evelyn Halcomb, Rosalie Smiddy and Aileen Pyles and granddaughter, Stormy Rae Bryant.

Funeral services 1:00 p.m. June 26, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call starting at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Burial at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
