Devin James Ritter, Greenwood, passed away on March 24, 2023. He was 18. Devin was born on April 5, 2004 in Martinsville, Indiana to Steven Ritter and Christina Lawrence. Devin was a 2022 graduate of Southport High School where he played the trumpet in marching band and concert band and was a member of the lacrosse team.
Devin worked at Target prior to accepting an internship with Center Grove Schools in the IT department. He then moved on to work for Amazon and then in construction alongside his father. His most recent position was with Lou Malnati's Pizzeria in Greenwood. He enjoyed going hiking and camping as a youngster, then as he grew older, he preferred playing video games, skateboarding and hanging out with friends listening to all types of music. Devin also loved to spend time with his little family members, taking the time to play with them and making them feel special.
Devin is survived by his parents: Steven (Trina) Ritter, Jr. and Christina (Ryan Meece) Lawrence; his siblings: McKenzie Ritter, Brooklyn Ritter, Lexi Ritter, Easton Ritter and Rhys Ritter; his niece, Montea Ritter; step-siblings, Bailey, Ayden, Rylee, Morgan, Monroe, Izzy and Grayson; his grandmothers: Nancy Lawrence and Karen Ritter and grandparents, James and Karen Sheets.
Devin is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dennis Lawrence and Steven Ritter, Sr. as well as his brother, Michael Allen Ritter.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 31, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Benjamin Franklin Mausoleum Chapel adjacent to the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
