Dolores Jane (Cassady) Stinnett, 87, of Indianapolis passed away January 12, 2021.  She was born February 7, 1933 in Essington, Pennsylvania to the late Arthur M. and May Ellen (Lapoint) Cassady.

Dolores married the love of her life, Robert Eugene Stinnett on March 4, 1950 and spent 51 wonderful years together until his passing in 2001.  Dolores and Robert were inseparable, spending as much time together as possible.  She was an immaculate housekeeper and loved decorating, especially at the holidays.  In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards with whomever would play with her.  She would play with Robert and family and friends, then when she moved into the senior living community, she would play with her new friends there.  Above all, Dolores was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and loved nothing more than to care for and dote over her family.  She will be dearly missed.

Dolores is survived by her children, Thomas Wayne (Terry) Stinnett, Timothy Bryan (Mindy) Stinnett, and Mark Anthony (Teresa) Stinnett; eight grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Robert, Dolores was preceded in death by her firstborn son, Richard Dennis Stinnett.

A private family service will take place Tuesday, January 19 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association: www.alz.org , in memory of her son, Richard Stinnett.
