Dolores J. Parsons, 90, Port Richey, FL, formerly of Phoenix AZ, and Greenwood, IN, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Dolores was born in Pontiac, MI, to her parents Robert and Madge Pursley. She graduated from Rochester High School, Class of 1951. Dolores married her husband, Wayne Parsons, on July 5, 1952 and together they shared 52 years of marriage until Wayne passed away on June 21, 2004.
Dolores was a homemaker all throughout her life, serving her family lovingly and diligently and was a member of NorthWest Valley Baptist Church in Phoenix, AZ and previously of Suburban Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN. Dolores was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, she loved to attend bible study in her free time. Dolores also loved children and enjoyed babysitting when the opportunity presented itself.
Dolores is survived by; her daughter, Cathy (Brian) McKeehan; her grandchildren: Mary Elizabeth, Evansville, IN, Emily (Matt) Kelley, Stafford, VA, and Sara Murphy, Mechanicsville, VA; her great grandchildren, Lou, Gavin, Kyle, Cassidy, Peyton, and Zoe and several nieces and nephews.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne Parsons; her brother, Ronald (Shirley) Pursley and her sister, Joyce Susalla;
A Graveside service will be on Thursday, May 11 2023 at 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
