Doloris Mae Miller, of Indianapolis, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Forest Creek Village. She was 82. Doloris was born October 21, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of the late Norman W. and Mildred A. (Reynolds) Middleton.

Doloris attended Indianapolis schools and had been employed as a fashion consultant with Lane Bryant and retired in 1997. Doloris had also worked as a baker for the Scottish Rite Cathedral for five years. She loved embroidery, enjoyed baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs and Indianapolis Indians. She also enjoyed cooking, country and gospel music. Doloris deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and cherished the moments the could spend together. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and performing solos.

She is survived by her children David L. (Barb) Miller and Cheryl A. (Mark)Hunter; her grandchildren, Adam Miller, Heather Miller, Collin Hunter and Morgan Hunter; five great-grandchildren; her siblings, Norman Middleton, Jr., Larry Steven Borden, Boyd Middleton, John Middleton, James Middleton, Rick Middleton, Audrey Roach, Vikki Huff, Jan Kyle and Laura Metzger as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband James C. Miller; her siblings, Gene Middleton, Raymond Middleton, Patti Taylor, and a granddaughter Mara Hunter.

Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Pastor Tim Ditchley will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution, the family has suggested those be offered to the American Heart Association.
