Donald Verlin Herring, age 83, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2024. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on February 13, 1941, to the late Cleo and Junie A. Herring.

Donald graduated from George Washington High School in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1959. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force (1963 - 1967).

On July 11, 1966, Donald married Janice R. Dodson. They had two daughters, Donna and Jana.

Donald was in sales and also an entrepreneur. He had various types of companies; which included eateries and selling cars. He was an avid NASCAR car fan.

Donald leaves behind his devoted wife of 58 years, Janice R. Herring. He is also survived by his two daughters Donna Bradley and Jana (Jason) Kieninger and six grandchildren Tony, Jacob, Shelby, Travis, Brandt, Alexus, and a brother David (Linda) Herring. He is proceeded in death by both parents and a brother Ronald P. Herring.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date and location to be determined.
