Donald "Don" F. Hohlt, 85 of Indianapolis passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 22, 2022.

Don was a member of the Southport Masonic Lodge No. 270 F&AM. He was the past president of German Park. Member of the Heimath's Preussen, Local Union hall 4 for Bricklayers and Allied craftworkers and a 40 year member of the growers bowling league.

Don enjoyed gardening, bird watching and loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He grew up on Bluff Road around all of the gardeners. As a child he worked at Sports bowl setting up the pins.

He is survived by wife of 64 years Charlotte  Lance Hohlt; four children Scott (Kim) Hohlt, Gregg (Kim) Hohlt, Cathy Hohlt (Adam) Salyer and Doug Hohlt; four grandchildren Carlie, Mackensie, Macy and Connor and one great grandchild Knox.  Don is preceded in death by both parents and a great granddaughter Charlotte Anne in 2016.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 26 at Friedens United Church of Christ at 8300 South Meridian St from 11:00 AM until the time of service. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the church.
