Obituary

Donald "Donnie" L. Mack, Jr., 64, of Bargersville, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026. He was born to the late Donald and Bertha Mack.

Donnie lived life with a big heart, a quick wit, and a sarcastic sense of humor that could make anyone laugh. Many friends and family also knew him as "Mack Daddy," a nickname inspired by his very first tattoo that stayed with him throughout the years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, dancing, gardening, cooking, carpentry, and tackling just about any project he could get his hands on. He never missed an opportunity to spend time outdoors or gather with family and friends. Whether he was tending to his garden, building something, preparing a meal for those he loved, telling stories, or sharing one of his signature sarcastic remarks, Donnie had a way of making everyone feel welcome. He was lovingly known as "everyone's dad" because he opened his heart and his home to so many, offering love, guidance, and support without hesitation.

Above all else, Donnie was the best dad anyone could have asked for. To his daughters, he wasn't just a dad; he was their greatest supporter, protector, teacher, and best friend. His daughters were the center of his world, and he spent his life loving them unconditionally, cheering them on, and always being there when they needed him. The lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave will remain in their hearts forever.

He is survived by his daughters, Destiny Mack (Jakeb Richards) and Drew Mack; his cherished grandchildren, Davin Hughes, NyLeigh Peters, Ileigha Fox, and Jiovanni Richards, with one more precious grandchild on the way; his beloved grand dogs, Finley Jo Mack and Ember Reign Richards; his siblings, Steve (Sandy) Mack, Constance (Tom) Rea, Cheryl Rosier, Keith Mack, and Lori (Shane) Aldrich; and his many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Bertha Mack; his beloved daughters, Danielle Mack and Demi Mack; and his faithful dog and companion, Bella Mack.

Donnie's greatest joy was the people he loved. He will be remembered for his generous heart, his unwavering love for his family, his playful humor, and his willingness to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed it. Whether he was building or fixing something, sharing a home cooked meal, offering advice, or simply making someone laugh, he left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His memory will live on in the stories shared around family tables, the projects he built with love, the gardens he tended, and the countless lives he touched. Though he will be deeply missed, those fortunate enough to have known him will carry his love and spirit with them always.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The location, date, and time will be announced once arrangements have been finalized.
