Donald R. Props, 65, of Greenwood, passed away October 15, 2016. The son of Donald E. and Helen Sullivan Props, Donald was born February 5, 1951 in Marion County.

He was an electro-mechanical engineer, having worked for Brehob Electric, Scherer Electric, Moran Electric and McBroom Electric. Don and Sharon enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon M. Wood Props of Greenwood, whom he married on November 27, 1987; sons, Mark A. Props of Indianapolis and Ryan C. (Kay) Gerber of Woodbine, Kentucky; daughters, Michelle Duh of Indianapolis and Julie Abernathey of Indianapolis; sisters, Melba (Don) Rohlman of Huntingburg, Indiana and Karla Hastings of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; grandchildren, Derik Abernathey, Michael Duh, Braden Props, Brett (Lindsey) Props, Aiden Duh and Gage Gerber.

Pastor Andra Smith will officiate at funeral services 1:00 p.m. October 19, 2016 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
