Donald W. Stroud, age 67, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, February 12, at his home. He was born November 23, 1943 in Indianapolis to Charles A. and Wilma (Ratliff) Stroud. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Viet Nam war, a former member of the Mitchell V.F.W. #9107, a jeweler and a valued member of the Jeweler Board of Trade. He was also an avid fisherman who loved to spend time with his family. He married Sherry Jewell Neely on September 20, 1968 and she survives along with sons, Charles (Michelle), Donald II (Janel); daughter, Heather Stroud Turner; brothers, Harold (Jan) and Ken (Gwen) Stroud; sisters, Marilyn Bean and Linda (Mark) Miller; grandchildren Samantha, Andrea, Logan, Donald III, Aiden Stroud, and Kopelin Turner. The family will be having a Celebration of Life Service at the American Legion, Post #205, 1200 Park Avenue Franklin, IN 46131 on Tuesday evening, February 15, with time of service to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Sherry Stroud Widow''s Fund.
