A devoted Catholic, Don found great comfort and guidance in reading the Bible, a practice that reflected his deep and steady faith. He lived generously, giving to many charities and always thinking of others before himself.

Don was a hardworking and skilled handyman who built and repaired countless things over the years. He took pride in his work and rarely asked for help, preferring to rely on his own hands and determination. Yet he also knew how to enjoy life's simple pleasures—he could happily spend an entire day sitting in his chair, reading his favorite country western books.

An avid IU basketball fan, Don loved watching sports of all kinds, often with a bag of chips close at hand. He had a kind heart and a gentle spirt; those who knew him never saw him angry. He was always delighted with neighbors stopped by to visit and chat, welcoming company with warmth and genuine joy.

Don was a good friend, a good neighbor, and above all, a good person. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and he will always be remembered with fondness and gratitude. May he rest in peace.
