Obituary

Donna Jean Flowers Pritt, 78, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away November 15, 2013. The daughter of Arthur Samuel and Edna Irene Gumm Flowers, Donna was born December 22, 1934 in Indianapolis.

Donna was a graduate of George Washington High School. For 20 years, she worked as a Home Health Care Aide with Acme Healthcare. She was a member of Post Road Christian Church. Donna worked with Mr. Fleetwood to establish Special Education in Warren Township and worked as a matron while her children were attending Warren Township schools. She was an early parent that help established Noble Industries. Donna served as a foster parent,usually accepting children that were difficult to place. She was involved with the Association of Retarded Citizens and supported Special Olympics. Donna never met a stranger, easily made friends and was thoughtful of other people.

Donna is survived by daughters, Becky M. Jern and Mary Lou Pritt; sons, David A. Pritt and Daniel L. Pritt, all of Indianapolis; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Carl Pritt.

Services 12:00 noon November 21, 2013 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood.
