Doris Dean Allen, age 88, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Trafalgar, IN, passed away at her residence, in FL, on May 29, 2010. She was born Dec. 2, 1921 in Anderson, AL to Thomas and Sylvania (Skipper) Johnson. She retired after 30 years from the RCA Plant on Sherman Dr., where she was a Line Foreman and Group Leader. She married Robert Allen and he preceded her in death in Dec., 2006. Doris is survived by her son, Haraland (Nancy) Pierce; daughter Sandra (Don) Patterson; brother, Ira (Grace) Johnson; sisters, Birdie (Charles) Hutter, and Pearl Hood; 6 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Services will be Saturday, June 5, at 11:00AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home and on Saturday from 9:00am until service time. The family requests contributions to the Veteran''s Administration.
