Dorothy Nell Hodge, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011. She was born in Bowling Green, KY to the late Harry Winer and Lois Hogan. Dorothy spent her time in the kitchen preparing meals that she would later sit down to enjoy with her family. Her family was the most important thing to her. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Norman Hodge; stepfather, John Hogan; brother, Milburn Hogan; daughters, Jacqueline Jill Collins, and Jerri Lynn White. Survivors include her sons, Ronald Jenkins (Lorraine) of Jacksonville, FL, Steven Jenkins (Barbara) of Indianapolis; daughters, Vickie Thornburg (William), Pamela Cliburn (Buddy) both of Greenwood, Theresa Murphy (James) of Carmel, and Terri Oswalt (Rick) of Mooresville; twenty-two grandchildren, Nicole Dicken, Darin, Kevin Cliburn, Jan Ball, Julie Long, Kayla, Patrick, Nicholas Murphy, Paige, Taylor, Olivia Oswalt, Gary, Phil, Kyle Jenkins, Wayne, Todd White, Bobby, Clay Webb, Pammy Jo, Michael, Mark, Billy Jenkins; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; she was also blessed for twenty-two years with wonderful neighbors, Paul, Cathy, Brandon, Annie Crest. Family and friends will gather on Sunday, January 23, 2011 from 2:00 until 6:00 PM in Forest Home Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135 Greenwood, IN 46143.
