E. Runell Kemp, 81, of Greenwood, passed away July 18.  She was born March 31, 1940 in Clay County, Tennessee to the late Bill and Marie Cherry.

Runell married her husband, Douglas Kemp, on December 22, 1958 and together they raised a daughter, Kim.  They were together until Doug's passing in 2010.  She worked for more than 25 years at RCA before they closed.  She was a member of the Southport Church of Christ.  When Runell wasn't busy working, she enjoyed bargain shopping and playing cards with her family and friends.  She was quite the baker and the family loved her homemade chocolate pie.  Runell loved her family and spending time with them, often hosting the family Thanksgiving dinner.  She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Runell will be forever remembered by her daughter, Kim (Rob) Clair; grandchildren, Kaitlin (James) Giltner, and Robbie Clair; great grandson, Micah; sisters, Thelma Geneal Rich, and Inez Copass; half-brothers, Travis Cherry and Hugh Tim Cherry; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Runell was preceded in death by her husband, W. Douglas Kemp; sisters, Lena Geralds and Carolyn Sue Cherry; and step sister, Geneva Moore.

Family will receive friends from 11:00am - 2:00pm on Friday, July 23 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana  46143 with service to begin at 2:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the: Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org
