Earnestine N. Kendrick, 94, of Indianapolis passed away May 24, 2016. She was born in Big Stone Gap, VA to Robert Thomas and Myrtle Alice (Hopkins) Peters.

Earnestine enjoyed crocheting, reading her favorite author, Danielle Steel''s, romance novels and reading the Bible. She loved animals and most of all loved her family.

Earnestine was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Oscar Elmer Kendrick.

She is survived by her children, Susan (Mark) Hopkins, Clarence Kendrick and Robert Elmer (Esther Judith) Kendrick; grandchildren, Clarence, Teena, Jennifer and Heather; 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26 from 12 pm - 2 pm with a funeral service at 2 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood.
