Edna Elizabeth Cummings, age 90, of Greenwood, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Beech Grove Meadows Nursing Home, with her family at her side. Edna was born January 2, 1925 in Monroe, KY to Leslie and Lola (Boston) Cadwell. Edna loved sewing, gardening, cooking and crafting. She was constantly making things for her family and the people she loved. She was a member of Guion Creek Congregation Of Jehovah Witnesses. Edna married Forrest Eugene Cummings on April 22, 1943 and spent a wonderful life together until his death on June 11, 1991. Edna will be sorely missed by all who know and love her.

Edna is survived by her sons, Gary (Chen Qing) Cummings of North Ft. Myers, FL, Danny (Arleen) Cummings of West LaFayette, IN, and Leslie Cummings of Indianapolis; daughters, Sharon Hanlon, of Beech Grove, and Lola (Larry) Smith of Greenwood; brothers, Don Cadwell of Avon and Wayne (Debbie) Cadwell of Indianapolis; sister, Mickey Roberts, of Plainfield; grandchildren, Christine (Rick) Slack of Savannah, GA, Mike (Missy) Smith of Indianapolis, Tracy (Eric) Duncan and Ronnie Hanlon, of Beech Grove and Jeremiah Hanlon, of Indianapolis; 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Edna was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, William "Bud" Cadwell and granddaughter, Rene'' Hanlon.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
