Indianapolis:
Edward William Sherlock, 83, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 at Community South. Ed was born on February 19, 1928 in Bloomington, IN to the late Cecil Avy and Mary Iona (Conner) Sherlock. He married his wife Bessie Rowena Heady 54 years ago.
Ed was self employed as a water well driller and service man for the Southside of Indianapolis for over 35 years. He loved to fish and camp, hunt, and always kept busy. He was also a member of Heavenly Life Apostolic Tabernacle.
Ed is survived by his loving wife Rowena; children: Howard Sherlock, Linda Stogsdill, Bill Sherlock, and step-daughter Peggy Hobbs; brother David Sherlock; sisters: Phyllis Hunter, Louise Jones, Ruth Boyd, and Luzzette Frye; and grand and great-grandchildren.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; son Steve Sherlock; sister Lois; and grandson Eddie.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood with the funeral immediately following. Burial will take place in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson''s Foundation.
