Effie Marie Guffey, 87, of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, September 8, 2009. Effie was born to the late Bart and Eliza Phillips Harwick on March 20, 1922 in Monticello, KY. Effie worked at Ritter Healthcare in housekeeping for a number of years. Surviving are three sons and daughter in-laws: Glenn & Toni Blocher, Wade & Cindy Guffey, and Dennis Guffey. Three daughters and son in-laws: Mae & Bill Yeagy, Lisa & Bruce Fisher, and Tammie Collins. One sister: Luzadie Hicks. Eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM till time of service at 2:00 PM Friday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143.
