Eileen Marie Jones, Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. She was 74 years old. Eileen was born on January 11, 1951, in Beech Grove, IN to her parents Raymond and Frances Stevens. She graduated from Manual High School and attended Indiana Central University.
Eileen worked as an administrative assistant for Indianapolis Life Insurance Company and retired after 31 years of service. Eileen was a member of First Baptist Church of Indianapolis, 8600 N. College Avenue. Eileen enjoyed watching several television programs including Chicago PD, The Bachelor, and World News. She loved spending time with her family and reminiscing about her lifetime of stories that she was always able to easily recall. Eileen was very proud of her family members' accomplishments and was never shy to show her love and support for them in everything they did. Eileen experienced a variety of health issues during her life but always maintained a positive attitude; she set an example for her family of immense strength and poise in the face of adversity. Eileen will be remembered for her loving, generous, and selfless nature. She was fabulous at preparing her family for life down to the very smallest detail. She cherished her titles of mother and grandmother. Eileen will be dearly missed by the family she leaves behind.
Eileen is survived by her children Tony (Natalie) Jennings and Jessica Jennings; her grandchildren, Kelsi (Sam) Meece, Jordan Lewis, Anna (Joey) Owens, Elijah Jennings, and Anthony O'Donovan; her great grandchildren, Lucas Meece, Nathan Lewis, Zach Lewis, and Salvatore Owens; her brother, Robert Stevens.
Eileen is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tommy.
The visitation for Eileen will be Friday, July 25, 2025 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home (1977 S SR 135, Greenwood, IN, 46143). The funeral service will be on July 25, 2025 at 1:00 pm. The burial will commence at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
