Elizabeth Joyce Roy, 78 of Wilmington, Ohio passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, March 11, 2022. She was born to the late Alfred P. Ayers and Mary E. Ayers.

Joyce enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and crafting. She also enjoyed her flowers, gardening, cooking and baking at Christmas time. Joyce was known for her candies, strawberry cheese cake, orange juice cake and pineapple upside down cake.

Joyce has always enjoyed going to church on Sundays. She was involved with their Bible School every year and she enjoyed interacting with all the children and teaching them about Jesus. With the church family when they had plays, bake sales and yard sales she was always there.  She loved singing in the choir and now she is singing in the heavenly choir.

She was a member of the Women's of the Moose, Speedway 500.

She is survived by her children Sheila (Ron) Evison, Kendall "Buddy" (Cindy) Roy and Cary (Debbie) Roy; grandchildren James (Devin) Cahill, Michelle Cahill, Christopher Cahill, Sandra (Marlon) Cahill, Stenton (Jessica) Whitmore, Kendall III (Sara) Roy, India (Paula) Mohoney, Matthew (Alex) Malone, Brandon(Taylor) Roy, Bethany (Donnie) Wiley, Garrett Richmond, Ryan Richmond and Erika Richmond; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Linda (Hank) Toner and Clarks Mills. Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Kendall Roy, Sr.; both of her parents Alfred and Mary Ayers; brother Alfred L. Ayers and a sister Mary Ayers.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Friday, March 18, 2022 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Joyce will be laid to rest next to her husband Kendall Roy at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
