Ellen P. Jefferys, age 86, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2015. Ellen was born June 24, 1929 in Akron, OH to Herman G. and Mary (Miller) Pedigo. She held a Master''s Degree in Library Science and was a sorority sister at Kent State University. She worked for many years with the Duval County School system in Florida. Ellen loved to read and she loved traveling to Europe, especially Germany, as well as Canada, Mexico and the United States. She attended Grace Bible Church and she adored spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Ellen is survived by her daughters, Laura Swisshelm, of Leavenworth, KS and Christine Armes, of Greenwood; grandchildren, Kristen Armes and Megan and Matt Swisshelm; great grandson, Abel Swisshelm. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy Pedigo.

Ellen''s family will conduct a private Celebration of Life service at a later date. Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood will assist with arrangements.
