Elnora Francis Ray, age 89, of Indianapolis, passed away January 3, 2011. She was born June 11, 1921 in Indianapolis to Clyde and Lela (Byroad) Hendrickson. She worked as a secretary at the Indianapolis Star and News for many years. She was a member of O. E. S. and she loved to bowl, crochet and drink coffee. She married Walter A. Ray and he preceded her in death in January, 1998. Elnora is survived by her sons Walter and Michael (Mary) Ray; daughter Sandy (Robert) Lawson; five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 6, at 2:00 PM, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 12:30PM until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions can be made to the charity of one''s choice.
