Elsie L. Tarter, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 19, 2021. She was born on December 27, 1932 to the late William and Helen Disbro. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Hobert L. Tarter.

Elsie worked over 20 years then retiring from Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, FL. She loved working crossword puzzles, watching HGTV, and she was famous for her macaroni and cheese. She was also a member of the Stop 11 Road Church of Christ.

Surviving are two sons; Randy & Michael. Four grandchildren; Nikki, LaVonne, Kris and James.  Five great grandchildren; Liam, Evan, Ashton, Aria and Arwen. One sister; Freeda and four brothers; William, Melvin, Marvin and Charles.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter; Vickie and four sisters; Louise, Jessie, Thelma and Velma.

Visitation and funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, beginning at 10am. Service beginning at 12pm.

The safety of our families and guests is of our utmost priority. We ask that facial coverings be worn and social distancing be practiced. In keeping with the Governor's mandate, attendance at the service will be limited to 50 guests. If you feel any symptoms of illness, please do not attend.
