Elsie G. Parsey, 94, of Greenwood passed away October 22, 2017. She was born in Ethelbert, Manitoba, Canada on May 17, 1923 to Kasmir and Dora (Sokulski) Kushnier.

Elsie enjoyed gardening her flowers. She worked in numerous fields including assistant to the president at First National Bank in Terre Haute, transcription at hospitals, secretary, volunteered at the voting polls, volunteered at Community South Hospital and received her diamond pin for volunteer hours served, worked at the Capitol Building in Indianapolis as a receptionist for the House of Representatives.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Dr. John M. Parsey Sr. and sister, Jean Suknasky.

She is survived by her sons, Dr. John M. (Marie) Parsey Jr., Dr. James R. (Renaye) Parsey, Joseph Parsey, and Jerrold (Tracy) Parsey; daughter, Lisa (John) Britt and grandchildren, Stephen Parsey, Carolyn (Dan Cuthbertson) Parsey, Natalie (Jonathan) Cronin, Chelsea (Cole) Willis, Conner Parsey, William Parsey, Samuel Parsey, John Christopher Britt and Harrison Britt.
