Elsie Marie Wood, 82, of Indianapolis went to her Heavenly reward on November 1, 2008 at Clarian North. On August 22, 1926 Marie was born in Etowah, TN to Shafter and Mary Ethel Lingerfelt Harris, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Wood married her husband, John R. Wood on July 3, 1957 and he preceded her in death. Marie spent several years working for L.S. Ayres Department Store where she spent most of her time in the legendary Tea Room. Leaving behind to celebrate the life she lived are Tom and Sharon Wood of Carmel, IN, Larry and Lea Wood of Durham, NC; brother, Roy Harris; sisters, Ruth Hendry and Joyce Kersey and seven grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating Marie''s life will be held at the Lighthouse Tabernacle, 2599 East 98th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46280 on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 7:00 pm.
