Emma Frances McConnell Long, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away June 25, 2012. The daughter of John A. and Gertie Coleman McConnell, Emma was born July 7, 1926 in Ashdown, Arkansas.
Emma was a member of University Heights Christian Church. Emma was a hostess/cashier at the Southport Bob Evans Restaurant and later at the Greenwood Bob Evans Restaurant.
Emma is survived by her son, Charles W. Long; granddaughters, Kelly Long and Keri Long; sister, Lola Doster. Besides her parents, Emma was preceded in death of her husband, Charles M. Long, whom she married on September 18, 1954 in Cook County, Illinois; daughter, Victoria K. Long and several brothers and sisters.
Pastor Randy Bills will officiate at a funeral service 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2012 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m Sunday, July 1, 2012. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
