Emma Jewel Lee, age 77, of New Whiteland, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015 with her family at her side. She was born August 10, 1937 in Crawfordsville to Emmit N. and Edith Ann (Hillenberg) Manion. Emma married Clifford Lee on July 6th, 1973 and he preceded her in death on December 7, 2002. Emma and Clifford founded Pappy''s Package Express and she served as Office Manager for many years. She was a member of Thompson Road Baptist Church. Emma loved to sew, crochet and make dolls.
Emma is survived by her son, Rick A. (Cheryl) Crisp; daughter, Cathy L. (Michael) Magers; brothers, Roscoe (Beverly) Manion, Lewis (Marsha) Manion, Gary (Becky) Manion, Jerry (Marlene) Manion, David Manion; sisters, Violet Weeks, Norma Jean Miles, Wanda Bluebaugh, and Retha Jane McIntosh; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Diana Cole; grandson, Eric Cole, brothers, Charles, Virgil, Dime, and Robert Manion; sisters, Helen Ritorto, Joyce Magness, Wilma Pritchett and LaVern Powell.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
