Emma Mae Sisk, Indianapolis, passed away on the evening of October 1, 2022. She was 91 years old. Emma was born in Bowling Green, KY to her parents Thomas and Lucille Coley. Emma met her husband Wayne Sisk at the Indiana School for the Deaf and together they shared 51 years of marriage together.
Emma worked as a housekeeper and retired in 2001 after 20 years of service. Emma was a member of Franklin Road Church of Christ for 30 years and prior to that she was a lifelong member of Park Avenue Church of Christ. Emma enjoyed crocheting and cleaning. She had a fabulous green thumb and was known to always have a beautifully manicured yard. Her family remembers her as a strong willed matriarch who loved her family dearly. Emma was a wholesome woman who always remembered to put church in the center of her life. The memories created will be cherished by those she leaves behind.

Emma is survived by her children Nancy Mayhood, Debbie (Dan) Bagby, Mark (Matthew Green) Sisk, and David Sisk; her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; her siblings, Floyd Coley and Richard Coley; several nieces and nephews.
Emma is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne Sisk; daughter, Jackie Boothman; Three siblings.
For visitation, the family will receive loved ones and friends from 3:00pm until 6:00pm on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 pm, Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. She will then be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens on Friday October 7, 2022 at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Emma's honor to Indiana School for the Deaf.
