Emory Lee Flint, 79, of Indianapolis passed away May 13, 2015. Born September 3, 1935 in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late James H. and Sallie (Vest) Flint. On April 13, 1960 he married Phyllis L. Martin in Franklin, Indiana. Emory was an HVAC specialist with Eli Lilly for thirty
years retiring in 1994. He attended Life Tabernacle Church in Indianapolis. An avid bowler, Emory was a City Doubles champion, and City Singles champion. He bowled in the ABC National Tournaments for thirty years and the Peterson Classic in Chicago for twenty five years. He had two perfect 300 games. He was a Democratic Precinct Committeeman in Wayne Township. He also enjoyed playing banjo, traveling, horse racing, going to casinos and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; sons, Billy (Tess) Flint and David (Jim Houdek) Flint; four daughters, Michele (Jerry) Bay, Rebecca Doyle, Barbara (Dean Griffin) Faulkner, and Pauline (Darryl) McMurray; two sisters, Donna Barnett and Judy Gibbs; eleven grandchildren, Aimee (Eric) Grantham, Scott (Shannon) Bay, Whitney (Rick) Clark, Justin (Michelle) Holland, Erica Faulkner, Jordan McMurray, Thea Bautista, Lance McMurray, Gio Dekire, Pocholo Jubas, and Warren Dekire and fifteen great grandchildren, Austin Grantham, Tristen Grantham, Jaxen Grantham, Kylee Bay, Kirra Bay, Bradon Bay, Isabella Bay, Ryan Clark, Nathan Clark, Maleea McCullough, Callista McCullough, Ellaina McCullough, Alexander Holland, Haliegh Holland, and Kaydence Faulkner. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 20 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South S.R. 135, Greenwood, IN 46143. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
