Erma Jean Brown, 60, of Greensburg, formerly of Greenwood, passed away August 21, 2015. The daughter of John and Nellie Clayborn Lane, Erma was born April 21, 1955 in Danville, Kentucky.
A machinist, after 31 years, she retired from General Motors in 2007. Erma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Indianapolis. She loved gardening, attending to her flowers, was an avid football fan especially the Indianapolis Colts and enjoyed doing activities with her grandchildren.
Erma is survived by sons, Daryll L. Brown of Greensburg and Daniel L. (Misty) Brown of Columbus; grandchildren, Destiney, Dominic, Daniel Jr., Aaliyah, Annabella, Davian Brown and Isaac Taylor; brothers, Joe Lane of Indianapolis, David Lane, Paul Lane, Timmy Lane, Matt Lane and Tommy Lane all of Kentucky; sister, Kay Stoddard of Oklahoma; In addition to her parents, Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Lee Brown, whom she married on December 2, 1972 in Indianapolis and died on December 20, 2000; brother, John Lane and sisters, Barbara Keith, Becky Propes and Judy Lane.
Funeral services 1:00 p.m. August 26, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on July 25, 2015.
