Esther Mae Bishop Sparks, age 84, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away May 26, 2017. The daughter of Charles Sutton and Elizabeth Arthur, Esther was born September 17, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

For several years, she worked as a proofreader for Acme Machine. She later was manager for Bealls Dress Shop.

Esther is survived by sons, Glenn A. Sparks of Lebanon, Indiana and David L. Sparks of Indianapolis, Indiana; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Besides her mother and stepfather, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh C. Sparks.

Rev. Danny Thomas will officiate at a funeral service 11:00 a.m. May 30, 2017 at at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
