Esther Ciesielczyk Barnes, 88, of Greenwood, formerly of Milwaukee passed away June 20, 2016. She was born August 12, 1927 in Chicago, IL to Paul and Margaret Ciesielczyk. Esther came from a family of 12, 8 sisters and 3 brothers. In 1947 Esther moved to Indianapolis and lived with her sister, Sylvia. Here she was employed at Western Electric and RCA. She met Thomas B. Barnes and they were married on July 1, 1949. She was a devoted wife for 50 years. She was a proud mother of two children and she enjoyed the company of her family. She loved gardening and was also an excellent seamstress. Esther had a talent with crafts and was a wonderful artist. She and Thomas went to local craft shows in the 80''s and 90''s.

Esther was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas B. Barnes in 1999; her parents and daughter in law, Carla Barnes.She is survived by her children, Karen Barnes Fix and Barry Barnes and her grandson, Ryan Fix.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. Graveside services will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
