Eugene "Gene" Melvin Lyle died April 1, 2014. He was 84. Born July 2, 1929, in Indianapolis, IN, he was the son of Cyrus Lyle and Gladys Lyle. Raised in Indianapolis, he attended Arsenal Technical High School. Gene married Beverly Ann Carter on November 12, 1949. He enjoyed a successful career at Lincoln Technical Institute, serving for many years as School Director, Regional Director, and eventually Vice President. Eugene joyfully served as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, along with his wife, in the Craigwood and Smith Valley congregations.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. He is survived by his wife Beverly; four sons, Robert, David, Mark, and Stephen; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one sister, Marjorie Alexander.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 5, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1239 E. Stop 12 Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46227.
