Eugene Richard Shelton, Jr., age 47, of Indianapolis, passed away August 15, 2014. He was born April 13, 1967 in Indianapolis to Eugene Richard and Mary L. (Wilson) Shelton Johnson. Eugene was a graduate of Crispus Attucks High School with the Class of 1985. He worked for many years at Kroger as the Produce Department Manager. Eugene married the former Kellie Gorman on August 15, 2010. He was an avid Colts fan and loved the sport of basketball. Eugene greatest love, however, was his family, especially his daughters. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Kellie; step-father, Willard Johnson; daughters, Ryleigh Shelton, Autumn Shelton, Tiwanna Shelton and Demi; brothers, James Shelton, Willard Johnson, Jr. and Christopher Johnson; sister, Tamara Johnson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Eugene was preceded in death by his son, Darrell Shelton and his mother, Mary.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
