Mrs. Evelyn May (Harshbarger) McGuire, Indianapolis, passed away on he late evening of Friday, March 19, 2021. She was 97. Evelyn was born September 3, 1923 in Midland, Indiana, a daughter of the late Porter and Agnes (Woodruff) Gambill.

Evelyn attended Midland High School and was the last surviving member of her class. She was employed in the accounting department at Inland Container, now International Paper Corporation, and served there for 25 years.

Evelyn was a life member of the VFW Post 2999 as well as a member of the Mars View Christian Church. She loved square dancing and was a member of several square dancing clubs but especially the Swingin' Singles Square Dancing Club where she was a member for over 32 years. Evelyn and her family thoroughly enjoyed camping and through this she was a member of the Good Sam Camping Club.

Evelyn is survived by her children, David Harshbarger and Karen Noel; her stepchildren, Michael (Sherry) McGuire, Jeffrey Lee (Bobbi) McGuire, James Thomas (Joyce) Wagner and Karen Pallikan; her grandchildren, Jason (Lesley) Noel, Darlene Crites, Angela (Dawson) Atwood, Keith (Meredith) Harshbarger, Darrin McGuire and Tamara Hull; 13 great-grandchildren as well as several great-greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by her first husband, Richard Harshbarger, her second husband, Harry McGuire; her son, William Harshbarger, her son-in-law, John Noel and a sister, Lillie McQueary.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Minister Michael England officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the funeral home.
