Evelyn Chappell, 83, of Beech Grove, passed away September 11, 2015. Born September 22, 1931 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Nora (Sears) Phelps. She was a 1948 Graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. Evelyn is survived by, two sons, Mike (Cathy) Chappell and Richard (Juli) Chappell; a brother, Donald Phelps; six grandchildren; six great - grandchildren, and two great - great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Aaron R. Chappell; three brothers, Earl, Harold, and Ronald Phelps; three sisters, Pauline Stewart, Penny Moore, and Betty Guidone, and a granddaughter, Angela Chappell.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015, in Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
