Everett William Freeman, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015. The son of Everett P. and Elizabeth V. Burke Freeman, Everett was born Friday, September 17, 1948 at home in Indianapolis, Indiana.
After 42 years, Everett retired in 2010 as a machinist from Link Belt Rexnord. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local 1999 and was an avid bowler, having bowled on the Link Belt League (the longest running league in Indianapolis).
Everett is survived by his wife, Christina L. Stone Freeman of Indianapolis, whom he married on Friday, April 11, 1975; sons, Rick W. Freeman, Scott W. (Stephanie) Freeman and Karl E. Freeman, all of Indianapolis; daughter, Lori S. Freeman of Indianapolis; brothers, Wavern Freeman of Texas and Tom Freeman of Indianapolis; sisters, Norma Schutte of Brownsburg and Eileen Zentko of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Jaren Freeman, Cody Freeman and Steven Cartwright. In addition to his parents, Everett was preceded in death by brother, John "Jack" Freeman and sisters, Dorothy Huffman and Shirley Freeman.
Pastor Allen Henderson will officiate at a memorial service 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
