Everett L. Gorbett, 67 of Greenfield, IN passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023 surrounded by family. He was born to Robert and Nora Gorbett. Everett is survived by his wife Vickie Gorbett, two sons Scott Gorbett and Everett Gorbett; step sons Mason Addis and Matthew Addis; five grandchildren; three siblings Steve (Donna) Gorbett, Daniel (Vicki) Gorbett and Richard (Dorothy) Gorbett. He is preceded in death by his parents, by a brother Melvin Hinton and a sister Lucille Flatt.


Everett loved riding his Harley, fishing, and taking care of the yard. He was quick to offer a helping hand, and there wasn't much he couldn't fix. He loved watching Devin grow and teaching him new things as his Pa. Everett never met a stranger, and enjoyed spending time with friends and hosting family cookouts. He will be remembered as a hard worker with a big heart, who wasn't afraid to tell you like it was.


Visitation will be Tuesday, May 2, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. There will be a short visitation on Wednesday, May 3 starting at Noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens following the service.
